What really surprised me was:

*That* upset me. If Chad *wanted* to practice 6 hours a day,
then the decision and methodology of getting to that point
would be relevant, and he wouldn't *have* to play 6 hours
a day right now; he'd have a chance to build up to that level.

The method here reminds me of some young sports "superstars"
who burn out so young after stressing their bodies far past
normal limits.
