Subj: RE using midi accompaniments

I have found misi accompaniments very useful. I am also a pianist and
often play along with students. However, it is very useful, particularly
if they are memorising pieces to use a taped accompaniment. The great
thing about midi, unlike the Music Minus One productions is that I can
vary the tempo to suit the student. I have a good soundcard, so the
resulting sound is usually not too bad.

A useful tool, though hardly a replacement for a real accompanist.
