I have one more question about reeds, at least for now. I read that the
Vandoren V-12s are thicker-cut for professional/jazz clarinetists.
Should I be using those, or should I try plain Vandoren reeds? Would I
be able to tell the difference at my tender beginning of study, or would
it be casting pearls before swine? I just ordered a Vandoren B45
mouthpiece; don't have it yet. Which type reed should be better for
that? I don't have Arnold Schwarzenegger embouchure yet, but am
practicing about 1 hour a day and will probably continue to do so.
Thanks for all your help! You're a knowledgable group,
Carol
