Chad--

I did not say reduce the total number of hours you practice. If you
need to practice 6 hours per day, try three sessions at 2 hours each, or
even four sessions. It sounds that you are going into overdrive to meet
your parents expectations at the expense of overuse syndrome and a
possible repetitive strain injury.

I know that practice is important, and that your parents are encouraging
you to be the best you can, but this can be a serious problem. At the
very least, a neck strap will help.
