Thanks to all of you who attended ClarinetFest '97 in Lubbock last week!!!
I am just now able to check my email messages for the first time in a week
and sincerely appreciate the many kind words posted on the list.

We are delighted with the way the conference turned out and the way people
responded to the many different performers.

Most of all, I am pleased to hear of the excitement generated for
ClarinetFest '98 in Columbus, Ohio. Alan Stanek, Bob Spring, and the other
ICA officers are working on the process of making ClarinetFests of the
future even better and more interesting for all clarinetists. Jim Pyne, the
coordinator for next year's event, has some wonderful ideas and will have a
brilliant conference. I look forward to meeting and visiting with so many
of you in Columbus that I was unable to this year.

If you are not a member of ICA, you should join. ICA has something to offer
every clarinet enthusiast and also, you have something to contibute to this
growing worldwide community of clarinetists.

Happy practicing!!!!!

BOB
