I think having something like that (a tounge piercing) would take
getting used to. I don't have anything pierced, nor advocate it, but I
would imagine that with the introduction of something new into a system,
such as the muscular system of the mouth, there would be adverse
consequences. Not to say they couldn't be overcome in time, but at
first anyway I don't see how you couldn't see negative effects. Someone
mentioned earlier that all the muscules of the toungue are a unit which
is quite true. No matter where you pierce it you will definitely see an
effect. For how long, the intensity of the effect, and the long term
consequences no one can say for sure. Everyone is different.

Bottom line though, it can't help you, and if this is something you
really love there are plenty of other things to get pierced...

May I also say that while some members may object to this topic being
off the subject, it is nice to see some real debate going, and unique
topics. I am thankful to everyone who responds to my queries, no matter
how bizarre at times, and I reciprocate whenever possible. (For moral
of story see Point to Ponder below)
