I too used to anchor tongue but my new teacher wouldn't have it. After
lots of practice I finally broke myself of the habit. From my expirence,
anchor tonguing can get you so far, but not as far as you need to be. I
know it is a long and frustrating process, but I think once you get used
to tonguing with the tip of your tongue, you will really like the way it
improves your playing.
