Naomi Koppel asked recently about music to use to audition for the bands at Yale. I visualize you playing the Cahuzac "Variations sur un Air du Pays D'Oc".
With this you can use the theme and one or more of the variations to choose
contrasting music for the two, four, six or so minutes you need. Whatever
piece you choose, make sure it shows off your strengths rather than highlight
your weaknesses in sound, facility, articulation, and musicianship. Have fun!
