Gee, I wish I could say I had no problems with my tone or tonguing! :-)
But anyway, one of my favourite study books (actually two) was the 48
Etudes by Alfred Uhl. A really good mix of interesting rhythms, phrasing,
tonguing, etc. and very musical studies. There's also an article (or
series?) in the Clarinet magazine, pointing out particular difficulties and
things to emphasize in each study. Not quite like having a teacher, but
maybe the next best thing. (I don't have my Clar. mags with me so I can't
look up what issue(s) it was in.)

I wouldn't worry about changing reed strengths unless you're dissatisfied
for some particular reason, such as a weak/flat high register.
