Chad,
Someone a bit older than you is going to have to sign for the loan,
unfortunately. You're not old enough yet (at least in every state in
the U.S.A.) to sign a legally binding contract.

There are a number of mail order stores which have payment plans,
and perhaps you could get an adult to arrange credit for a less
than usurious rate with a reputable store. You're still going to have
to travel to whatever store you can work out a deal with to *try*
the clarinets; you'd hate to make a mistake that you'll have to keep
paying for.

$125.00 a month for just a little over a year puts you in the range
of a regular R-13 at the major mail order houses.
