A musicologist named Susan Paglia (I think) has done quite a bit
of work in this area, tho I categorically disagree with her premise - that
women's compositions are characteristically different from men's. You can
try doing an internet search for her name. Also check out the AMS - the
American Musicological Society for her papers.
