The Klose method book is great for beginners thru advanced players. The
front is very simple, including a complete fingering chart. It contains
all types of scales and advances with the player. The book is a little
more expensive (I think I paid $25 for mine) but contains plenty of
material for a beginner to work on for a very long time. Hope this helps.
