For clarinet with piano, you might consider Elliot Carter's Pastoral
(Merion Music) (a beautiful early Carter piece with lots of 5/8), the
Bernstein and Copland Sonatas, and Cowell's Six Casual Developments. The
Cowell might be too quirky for auditions. I'd favor the Carter or
Bernstein.
For clarinet alone, Ronald Schroyer, It's Either a Song or a Dance
(Southern Music), is very appealing and effective, as well as lots of fun.
There are also Russell Riepe's Three Studies on Flight (Southern),
Osborne's Rhapsody (Peters), the John Cage Sonata (Peters) (almost
certainly too quirky), Leslie Bassett's Soliloquies (Merion), and on a more
difficult level Joan Tower's Wings (Associated Music). Libby Larsen has a
solo piece called Dancing Solo (Oxford University Press), but it hasn't
clicked with me yet.
I don't pretend that this is a complete listing, but I hope it helps.

Thanks for your response, Gary. Well, that is something that I should
have addressed. It doesn't really matter to me & it doesn't specify. I
would probably like a piece that has piano accompaniment, though, because
I tend to be more secure when it comes to performances & recordings.
