Hi there. Let me tell you and any others who might be interested about
another college that offers an
undergraduate Arts Administration curriculum. I just graduated from
Goucher College in Baltimore MD as a music major with a concentration
in Arts Administration. You have to take the usual music courses (ear
training, theory, history, performance etc...) plus 3 semesters in Arts
Admin related courses plus 2 semesters of accounting, 1 in marketing, 1 in
economics and 1 in financial management. (Plus all the prerequisits for
graduation that make you a well rounded student. ;-) It's a great array of
courses.
Plus, Goucher requires student to take an internship in their major
field, so a student will leave with valuable contacts and experience. I
even heard rumors that they are trying to establish a masters program.
So.. without going into any more detail I'll just say if you want any
more info just give me a ring er... e-mail.
