My 1962-63 (72445) R13 has NO plating- just polished nickel-silver keys.
What was the story on that kind of key? When did plating come in as
standard. Thee nickel-silver keys look great when polished, but then get
very dull gray rather quickly. Then again, my 1977 R13 A clarinet has
plated keys (don't know what kind of plating) and looks bad where it is
wearing off.
