What's supposed to be so good about silver? Plenty of things corrode it,
notably cyanides and organic sulphur compounds. It can also be toxic. One
reason that it's not so dangerous to people as nickel can be is that
silver chloride has a
very low solubility in water - or gastric juices. How many people on this
list make a habit of licking their keywork if it gets corroded?
Gold would be much better.
