If you are thinking to buy a new instrument and have US$1.600,00 I
can recomend you try on the Patricola instruments.
They are all hand made and the finish is fantastic. The pich is good
in all range of the clarinet.
The wood is treated by 13 years and Patricola said that none of
their clarinet have cracked. But if happens they give you a entire new horn.

Good luck
