Yes, the S1 is an older model. I'm not sure it was in production very
long, but it was available during the middle to late 70s.

You may also have had an slightly older catalog, because Buffet
has a new clarinet,
based on the R-13, they are calling the "Vintage" line. It was designed
by their head acoustician, Rene Lisieux.
