With respect to Clark's observation, I add the following.

Once, at my home, a not very knowledgeable music lover (that's not
a criticism) asked me what the Koechel numbers stood for in
reference toe Mozart's music. Without an instant's hesitation, I
went to my bookshelf and took down the score of Don Giovanni in
the Neue Mozart Ausgabe.

Turning to the title page, the K. listing of 527 is given. Now it so
happens that this particular volume has exactly 527 pages. So
naturally, I showed this to the interested party and said, "The
Koechel listing tells one how many pages there are in the
printed score." It was not easy to say that and keep a straight
face and for a while the person believed it.

Naturally, it is the only volume in the 200 in which this
ridiculous coincidence occurs.
