i too started with the whole middle school beginning band sign up routine,
and i wanted to play flute but we already had too many flutes so i picked
clarinet as my second choice... through middle school and my freshman year of
high school i wanted to play flute, in turn, wanting to give up the
clarinet... one day i was at an art fair and bought one of those bamboo
flutes and learned to play it... i played it for a friend who was a music
teacher at a local school and she decided to lend me a real flute over the
summer from her school.. so that summer i learned to play flute all on my
own.. i really loved the flute....but it made me klove the clarinet 10 times
more... i still play flute, and i played solos for competitions through high
school, but clarinet is my passion and what i am majoring in...
and that's my how i got started story...
