Hello Everybody,

I am wondering who of you guys on the mailing list are coming to
ClarinetFest 97 in
Lubbock, TX this summer?

If you are coming, I want to recommend a concert of Claribel. Claribel is a
pretty good clarinet choir from Ostend, Belgium. Claribel is also the
organizer for ClarFest 99 in Ostend, Belgium. We have lots of new pieces in
our concert this summer: there is a selection from a new Belgian musical, a
new piece from Roland Cardon (some people will know him), an arrangement
from Willy Soenen (also quite known), and there will be a brand new piece
from Norbert Goddaer, and this is one you don't want to miss! The piece is
an arrangment on Paganini's Perpetual Motion. It has a clarinet solo part
with all the little notes, but there are also jazzy intermezzos. The
clarinet solo will be played by Dr. Robert Spring, the man with the fastest
fingers and tongue in the world. I'm pretty sure it will be a great show.
For your information: we will bring three composers with us: Norbert
Goddaer, Willy Soenen, and Bart Picqueur (musical).

Claribel concert
Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX
Sunday, July 13 at 10.30 am

For those of you who can't make it on July 13 or for those of you who want
to hear it again, don't worry we're doing the same concert (with some extra
music) again on Monday, July 14 at 7.30 pm in the Arizona State University.

If you don't come, you'll never know what you've missed!
