Hello Klarinet members!
I hope that you are all fine & well. So, yes, I'm back...at
least for the next week. The reason why I'm back is becaue I have a
question. I have a question that I already know will be "bashed" because
I should go ask my teacher or something...
Well, it was suggested by my new teacher to ask this list this
question. Don't worry, it's not mean or anything. I just need to get
some feedback. So, here it goes.
I need suggestions for a 20th century composition by an American
composer, excluding orchestral excerpts, that I can prepare between July
& October without much worry. FYI, I need two contrasting works or
movements, one of which must be from a 20th Century composition, as part
of my adjudication packet for ARTS. They suggest looking for the names
of composers in COMPOSERS OF AMERICA; AMERICAN MUSIC SINCE 1900; THE NEW
GROVE DICTIONARY OF AMERICAN MUSIC, which leads to another question: Can
I find these books in Barnes & Noble?
Okay, if anybody can help by giving me names of pieces w/ their
composers & the best place I can order them for cheap, please send me a
private message at <clarinetken@-----.com> or via Snail mail from July
6th-August 2nd to
