I'm having some difficulty getting mail lately (I'm completely missing
several issues of the digest, two of which are apparently sitting on the
mail server which I can't access, and another which has vanished into thin
air... is there any way to get a particular issue? It's #44 or 45 that
I'm missing...) so I'll appologize in advance if this has been suggested.

Have you tried learning to conduct? Part of my music course this year was
a section on conducting, and I found it really fun... it certainly gives
you a lot more respect for conductors! :) It's probably only fun when
you can work with a group of people -- they get a chance to give you
feedback, and you get a chance to pick on things that aren't in your
section. :)
