That is an area I would fear to venture into -- really a subjective
thing. Straight sixteenths marked Allegro Vivace would probably not be
the same as quarter eighth patterns. It is relative to many things. As
long as you know the basic meaning you are ok I think. After all, there
is scaracely a performance where the tempo stays at exactly one marking
the entire time. I will be interested to hear others' opinions
though...
