Here's an alternate suggestion - some of the electronic (credit-card
size) metronomes also generate pitches - mine's a Casio and it will
do a full octave. According to my tuners, the pitch is accurate. A
disadvantage is that some people find certain aspects of the tone
itself distracting, although I don't have any problem using it to
tune.
