Hi Noelle,

As you know, most professional auditions require complete mastery of the
entire part....ie...Capriccio Espanole has major solos, but you never know
if they will ask for a part from the main body of the work....often
happens.

My advice is to aquire lists from several professional orchestras, then
buy the parts or *shhhh* copy from someone the parts and practice from
them. More importantly, buy recordings and imitate what you hear. It
would be great if you take a few lessons from someone who plays the
literature day in and day out....I know Lawrie Bloom in Chicago teaches
them (and is a really postive role model to boot!), as do others.

I am sure someone has a list of works...as do I....but that have them
ready to email out....listserve????
