This Bio thread is a good idea. I've often wondered where everyone came
from/did, etc.
Hi,
I'm Theresa Nardin. Bach of Music Ed in Instrumental (Clarinet)/Vocal music
from Central State (Okla) University in '79. Taught Band/Choir grade 5-12 in
Oilton, Oklahoma for 1 year. Joined the Army and became a member of the
Continental Army Band of Ft. Monroe,Va. The 8 weeks of basic training was a
vacation after that hellish year of teaching-not to mention that PFC pay was
a bit more than that of a first year teacher. Since getting out, we've lived
in Ft. Worth, Lubbock, and El Paso, TX and are now back in VA. I've raised
kids, played in/directed some church orchestras, done a bit of chamber music
with a pianist friend and helped fill out the clarinet section in the last
army band we were at. Husband is an new Army Bandmaster, awaiting a new
assignment. This group is a big help and very educational. It's been fun
reading for the last month or so. Thanks.
