For those with good memories, I asked the list a few months ago for
recommendations of a humorous work for clarinet and piano to play at my
kids' Suzuki Music Camp in the mountains of Washington state. I'm sorry
that I don't recall who recommended Immer Kleiner, but I did get it
(published by Ludwig), and played it for parent's talent night at the
camp this past weekend. For those who don't know, this is a rather corny
piece where you progressively disassemble the clarinet from the bottom,
ending up on the mpc alone. I thought it was a bit dumb, but the
crowd........parents, kids and some of the teaching staff (strings,
flute, piano) were roaring with laughter. It really surprised me. Now
I'm on the spot to come up with something equally attention getting next
year. Hmmmmmmmmm.
Thanks again.
