Well said!

A lot of us play for enjoyment of the music. As a bass clarinet player
in a community concert band, I feel our organization adds to the overall
level of music awareness that would not be possible if the only music
ever played was done by "professional musicians". This would mean fewer
concerts in parks, less music at convocations, national and civic
holidays celebrations, etc.

Music is music, some good, some not so good. I work so that I have time
to enjoy the good things in life, one of them being music. There are 30
or so members in our band that have similiar feelings or our band
wouldn't exist.

My $.02
