Thanks for sharing the experiences you have had Deborah. California State
U. at Long Beach is the university that Larry Curtis teaches at right? In
1978-79 his ensemble came through Ann Arbor, MI (where I was a freshman in
Music Ed. at the time) and the wind ensemble performed with our Symphony
Band. I still enjoy that recorded performance.....especially the Dreams
of a Psycopath work by Francis....were you in that group, or was that a
year after you left?

And a note to Dr. Leeson!

I was in the ensemble at Michigan that performed the "Gran Partita" in
1988 that you conducted. Your rehearsals were very memorable.....I have
since purchased a basset horn, had Bill Brannen make it play well, and
have enjoyed the use of it since my days at U.M.!
