Also, beginner mouthpieces are easier to create sound on and usually
give a poorer tone quality because they don't require the embouchure
that a B45 or equivalent might. If the kid can't even make a sound he
isn't going to be very enthusiastic, so thus we have beginner
mouthpieces!! Also, the price of a real quality one may be a bit
staggering as Sherri mentioned.
