Craig,

I'm surprised no one has suggested the database at Sneezy for this
question by now (are you out there Mark?). Searching on "Concerto"
yielded over 160 entries, most with the composer's dates. You can thus
apply your own of "early" (where I would put Molter, Pokorny and Johann
Stamitz), "classical," "transition," "romantic," and all the flavors of
"modern." Such keywords as "konzert," "concertino" and "variations"
would probably also turn up worthwhile lists.
