Hello fellow list members,
Hopefully someone can enlighten me on the subject of mouthpieces. In the
past, I have always had someone(i.e. instructors) choose mouthpieces for
me and have never had mouthpiece facings explained to me in any detail.
Most often I choose a mouthpiece and then have it refaced to suit my fancy
at the time. Now I am going to purchase a new mouthpiece/ligature
combination for my Eflat and have no clue what facing would be right for
me. Could someone please explain the sizing system on facings to me? I
feel quite ignorant asking this. I am an advanced player but have never
been instructed on the subject at all.
