No one purposely deleted the list!! I'm just guessing here
(I had a few e-mails with some of the admins, so it's an
educated guess), but it appears that the computer system
the list was on crashed and the disks hadn't been backed up
for quite a while. Since the machine is not in physical
proximity to the list admins, all they can do is hope that
all the data is backed up. As we found out, Murphy always
wins ...
