Cheryl and Gary:

I had the slippage problem with the inverted Bonade when used with my
Vandoren B45 or my Gigliotti mpcs. I seems these mpcs have fatter
outside dimensions. I solved the problem in a similar fashion as
Gary, except I sanded only the inside edges (under the screws) and
using Micro cork glue covered the roughened edges with thin strips of
fabric to prevent sratching the mpc.

Until recently, I preferred the Bonade to any other ligature I tried,
including the fabric wrap type ligatures, e.g., Rovner or BG because
the reed seemed to play more vibrantly and I was able to project more
easily throughout the scale. However, I have since tried the
Brancher ligature and it does those things even better and without
all the modifications (cutting, sanding) mentioned in earlier
postings.
