Billy,
Well, I have never dealt with a Patricola clarinet. As far as I
know, Yamaha can do a superb job with their instruments. I have never
liked the Buffet R-13 eefer - I consider them out of tune. I have a Buffet
RC which I LOVE. Which bore does the Prestige have? If it is the R-13 bore
I doubt you'll get a very in-tune instrument. What it really comes down
to is you have to try them out with a tuner and demand tuning which is
as good as your b-flat. Such horns do exist. I own one. If you are
interested in saving a bundle, I have a BEAUTIFUL old Noblet which tunes
as well as my coveted RC. I got a barrel which lets it play at A 440and it
is a serious professional-quality instrument. You can contact me privately
to talk about a trial period.
