This is what makes this list so good. Only the strong survive!

You sissies who can't stand the heat won't survive one month as a
professional musician anyhow. My ex-teacher, now a first chair at a symphony
orchestra has had her reed broken during rehearsal break. Being spoken to
rudely hardly qualifies as a rough ride! Music is tough business. Somebody
has to weed the winnow from the chafe.
