Ok if anyone remembers or even cares..... I have been doing Cabaret for
the past few weeks. They have the musicians on stage. The 'Kit Kat Klub
band' contains only 4 musicians. They built a movable platform only 8x5
feet so the drums and keyboard took most of the room. The other two (Me
and the Banjo player) have some room to sit in. It is unfortunate because
they also hired a female trombonist ( who is very good). But there's not
enough room, I tried to volunteer to give her the space, but.... oh
well...The rest of the musicians are hidden behind a prop wall. We ( on
the platform) fit right in the middle of the group when we're pushed back
in place.

The two guys are wearing dresses & makeup (drummer and keyboard players).
They aren't too happy with that. They both shaved their beard and
moustaches too.............

When they move the platform, I have to make sure I am holding the sax
because it might fall of the stand, the ride is really rough.

The nicest thing is they are using all electronic keyboards so there is
no dispute as to whether the "piano has been tuned"

I have one more show to go, and I am having fun....well as much as I
should ........:-)
