The "Lexicon of Musical Invective" is excellent. Much of it consists of
quotes from music critics, who criticize and condemn all the great
composers and the great music over the ages. In light of the success of
these same composers and music, the comments of the critics are shown to
be ludicrous. It's not a very good recommendation for the profession of
music critic, and that's as it should be, IMHO.
