During my library escapades looking up the birth/death dates of
composers for the composition database (along with the the help
of Georgiana McReynolds in a different location) I use Grove as
one of my references. I BELIEVE (but I am not completely sure)
that I was looking at an edition much later than 1980 (as it
would have to be to have the date of death of 1995). I will check
the edition date in the library next time I go there. I use other
references there, also (this is a regular library, not a music
library, but they have a reasonable reference section), so it is
possible that I picked the reference out of other material, but
it doesn't stick out in my mind. In any case, the date of death was
available without intensive searching.
