A German faced mouthpiece (by Zinner), normal facing, i.e. M4 (Zinner
number) or Wurlitzer M4. Not a ligature, but a lace. Normal barrel which
goes with the instruments (here in Europe we do not buy different barrels)
and Vandoren #2.5 german Cut, so: "very" light reeds (in contrast to the
USA-way of playing) with a mp with a greater tip opening...
But: when karl leister plays any horn, with watsoever mouthpiece, reed or
barrel: it will always sounds like karl leister!!!!! Keep that especcially
in mind and, really: I know that for sure, 'cause I've heard him play on my
clarinets too...
