Hello,
Maybe this is something interesting for you (all):
here in The Netherlands (Europe) we play at #2,5 reeds (Vandoren), or #3
with vandoren B40 (or B45 lyre) mouthpiece. I mean: we have the tendency to
play on much softer reeds than is avarage in the U.S. (of A.) I'm speaking
of the french clarinets. But, also the ones playing the Wurlitzers (with
German facing mouthpieces) they play 2,5 or at least #3 reeds vandoren
9white master/german cut).
Does someone have a theory why there is this difference in reed strength?
What are the consequences...
