Jerry, East and Southeast Texas are pretty humid. West Texas is very dry. I
don't really think the humidity is causing the problems we are seeing with
the instruments we are selling. In the last two years I have seen one
Buffet E-11 crack and at least a dozen Leblanc Esprit, Normandy, VitoVSP
and Concerto clarinets crack. I am concerned enough about the wood that are
used in French Leblancs that I have put off buying a clarinet until things
settle down. I am going to try out a Vintage as soon as it comes in. I may
buy it if it is all that it's cracked up to be.....No pun intended.
