In the "Tree of Music" (?) program that has been shown on Public Television
or possibly the Discovery channel a few times, there is a scene in which
the Buffet "clarinet tester" is trying to match bells with various clarinet
bodies. I was interested to see him rotate the bell on the instrument as
part of the testing. While it wasn't entirely clear in the program, I
assume that after he finds a position he is satisfied with the bell label
is applied to mark the position.

I can't hear any difference on my instrument.
