Just to followup a little on my last post: There are
a LOT more books for piano students than clarinet students,
but scale are scales, and theory is theory. I'd suggest that
if you want to learn about this type of thing that you browse
in the piano section - it'll be easier to find the books.

As an aside - in my third year of piano I had to start
figuring out modes, never mind the minor scales (no,
Jay, I don't remember all that anymore ;^). I assumed
clarinet students would have to start doing the same as
they progressed. Am I wrong?
