Lockwood,

How long have you been playing? How long have you had this particular
clarinet? What is the weather like in Arlesheim at the moment? Is this a
drastic change from what it had been? Have you been doing anything
different lately (like leaving your clarinet out in the sun or on top of a
radiator)? Does the problem get better after an hour or so of playing?
Does it get worse? Has there been any conscious change in your embouchure
or any of the other mechanics that influence your tone? Has there been any
significant change in the stress in your life?

I recently seem to be playing sharp on my clarinet such that I have to pull
way out to get in tune with the band.
Can anyone give me some tips as to what is happening? Is the clarinet
changing? Is it the reed (Vandoren #3)? Perhaps the weather??
Thanks for any help, Benedict (Arlesheim, Switzerland)
