I auditioned for Indiana and Eastman last year and played Debussy
Premiere Rhapsodie (which is strongly rec in the Eastman audition book)
Weber Concertino, 2 contrasting Rose Etudes, Mozart is always good. They
say that comparative works can be subsituted. Also, she must know all
her Major scales, and it wouldn't hurt for her to know her minors just
in case they ask for those also.

I wish your student luck in the selection process, it is a very
difficult and sometimes heartbreaking endeavor when you don't get
accepted to your "dream college" or you can't go because you can't
afford it. Tell her to apply for the FAFSA (Financial Assistance for
Federal Student Aid) and look for private scholarships in her hometown.
Also check the internet for scholarship sites. It helps to start
now...she's already ahead of the pack if she has narrowed down 4 or 5
schools to choose from.

Good luck,

Julianne Kirk
