the best for carpel tunnell is surgery as soon as possible, due to the
fact that the hand straps etc only work 50 percent of the time. the trick
is that you all will have a complete recovery when you attend your
required physical thearpy sessions and DO AS YOU ARE TOLD. becareful of
getting into major specialist for carpel tunnel, when a probably a
neurosurgen could be certain that you will not have any nerve damage.a
dear friend of mine went to an alternative medical doctor where they
attempted electro shock on the hand, and later attempted a form of
acuputure. all failed, but alot of damage was done delaying the surgery.
he is very lucky to have recovered, and his clarinet playing is better
than ever! my personal theory is on any medical situation that interfears
with your life style, such as carpel tunnel, physical hardship, or cancer
is the following: a doctor who i trust can cut and remove and help heal
with the
proper procedures that take a period of time is always been the better
road, if surgery is not a radical situation. but there is no way i will
allow, second guess, or trust.....
a doctor or anyone to "poison", "burn", or slow down my life style by any
unbroken or unsure results. good luck. it is really a minor surgery,
compared to years ago. i have heard only excellent results of the
musicians i know who have come across this temp. set back. take care.
