understand the (human) perception of loudness. Nick

Ooohhh Nick,

Excuse me, but it is still what we engineers are taught. And remains a fact.
Physicists, in fact, do not study what humans perceive. Biologists - and in
particular the subspecialty of Neurobiology and Psychology - study what
humans perceive. I'm sorry that I appear to be agitating you. Jonathan needs
no defender, as I mentioned he did well to point out the other aspects that
define "loudness" as we perceive it. But then again you compliment me by
underestimating my age.
