I just compiled & tested Pine on my Unix box (pine3.96) to check
for ease of snipping quotes. As long as you have
include-text-in-reply and signature-at-bottom checked off in
your configuratin file it's no worse than just about any other
line editor to use (and if you don't like the pico editor, you
can configure it very easily to use a different editor if you're
using a Unix version).
